Vergessene Trends feiern im Laufe der Jahre immer wieder nostalgische Comebacks. Was uns als New Arrival angepriesen wird, ist meist schon viele Generationen alt. Das macht den Zyklus der Mode aus. Heute zeige ich euch, welche Stiefel im Winter 2021 weiterhin im Trend liegen werden.
Aber erst einmal: Wie entstehen eigentlich Trends?
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, wie Trends entstehen. Beim Trickle-Down-Effekt wird ein Look oder ein bestimmtes Kleidungsstück durch exklusive Modehäuser kreiert und im weiteren Schritt von populären Bekleidungsketten kopiert. Kurz gesagt: Die Mode der obersten Gesellschaften sickert zu den unteren sozialen Schichten durch. Typische Beispiele sind Michael Kors Taschen und Balenciaga Sneaker. Das Konzept Luxus zieht in beiden Fällen an. Nicht nur der hohe Preis zeichnet die Designerstücke aus. In erster Linie ist es die versprochene Exklusivität, ein bestimmter Stil und Status, der unsere Kaufentscheidung beeinflusst. Der Bubble-Up-Effekt funktioniert dagegen genau umgekehrt: Einflussreiche Modeketten orientieren sich an Stilen der Jugend- und Subkulturen. Das sieht man heutzutage zum Beispiel in der Orientierung an der Skater-Szene. Einer fängt an und alle ziehen nach. Streetwear wird plötzlich zum Millionengeschäft. Es ist ein altbekanntes wirtschaftliches Spiel, die den Marken ihren globalen Ruhm verschaffen.
Stiefeltrend Nr.1: Ankle Boots
Der Ankle-Boot ist ein Stiefel, der den ganzen Fuß bedeckt und bis zum Knöchel reicht. 1804 wurde der Ankle-Boot für die Damenmode eingeführt und ist bis heute noch für seinen Komfort und seine Praktikabilität beliebt. Kaum eine Stiefelette gibt es in so vielen verschiedenen Varianten wie den Ankle-Boot. Ob mit oder ohne Absatz, mit Reißverschluss oder zum Binden, mit spitzer oder runder Kappe – der knöchelhohe Stiefel ist in jeder Version ein absolutes Must-have. Warum? Weil sie die schmalste Stelle des Beines betonen und damit jeder Figur schmeicheln. Wer es elegant mag, sollte Modelle mit Absatz in Kombination zu Röcken oder Kleider tragen. Aber auch in engen Hosen und Tights sehen sie toll aus.
Stiefeltrend Nr.2: Reiterstiefel
Als überraschenden Comeback-Trend sticht gerade ein Schuh besonders heraus: der Reiterstiefel. Der speziell an den Erfordernissen des Reitens angepasste Stiefel, ist bekannt für seine durchgehende Sohle, einen Absatz und einen bis unter dem Knie ragenden Schaft. Seine hohe Form und die Versteifung des Stiefels sollte ursprünglich eine stabilere Lage des Unterschenkels am Pferd fördern und das Bein länger erscheinen lassen. Seine zeitlose Eleganz durch das Glattleder in Schwarz, hat ihm die unersetzliche Position in unserer Garderobe verschaffen. Besonders gut passen Reitstiefel zu schmalen Hosen in dunklen Waschungen, die im Schaft der Stiefel verschwinden. Trendbewusst zeigen sich Looks in Kombination mit Camel Coats und Wollmänteln – am besten mit nacktem Bein, wenn es die Temperaturen zulassen.
Stiefeltrend Nr.3: Combat Boots
Ein weiterer Liebling, der uns auch noch in diesem Jahr begleiten wird ist der Combat Boot. Tatsächlich sind die Combat Boots – wie der Name schon vermuten lässt – an das Design der Lederstiefel von Soldaten angelehnt. Die modernen Kampfstiefel wurden so konzipiert, dass sie Knöchel Stabilität und Fußschutz bieten, die für eine raue Umgebung während der Kampfausbildung geeignet sind. Die klobigen Schnürstiefel werden traditionell aus gehärtetem Leder hergestellt und kommen jetzt mit flacher als auch mit dicker Sohle daher. Ob vom Prada, Chichi oder Dr. Martens – alle Modelle des Combat Boots schaffen einen coolen Stilbruch zu femininen Teilen, wie Plisseeröcken oder Midi-Kleidern. Aber auch als Stylingpartner zur Jeans sorgen sie für einen lässigen Look. Hier sollte allerdings darauf geachtet werden, dass der Look insgesamt nicht zu hart wird: Die rockige Lederjacke kann für diesen Look gerne im Schrank bleiben, ein süßer Teddycoat ist in Kombination mit dem Combat Boot die bessere Wahl.
Stiefeltrend Nr.4: Chunky Gummistiefel
Derbe Schuhe mit auffallend großen Sohlen stehen bei uns im Fashion-Fokus. Das neueste Mitglied ist der Chunky Gummistiefel, auch bekannt als Chunky Rain Boot. Die praktischen Rain Boots sind das It-Piece in diesem Winter und stehen seit langem auf meiner Wunschliste. Die Gummistiefel wurden von Ureinwohner Südamerikas erfunden, indem sie Stoffschuhe in den Saft des Gummibaums getaucht haben, um sie wasserdicht und haltbarer zu machen. Bis ins aktuelle Jahrhundert, hatten die Schuhe aus Gummi einen schlechten, lediglich zweckmäßigen Ruf. Das Umdenken begann vor allem mit Prada, Bottega Veneta, The Row, Alexander McQueen, Chanel und nicht zuletzt mit den Influencern und Fashion-Profis, die uns das Allroundtalent auf den sozialen Medien präsentieren. Besonders jetzt, wo Corona die Zeit der Spaziergänge zurückbringt, halten uns diese Schuhe trocken durch jedes Schmuddelwetter. Besonders gut lassen sich die klobigen Boots, ähnlich wie bei den Combat Boots, zu kurzen Röcken oder Kleidern kombinieren, da sie dem femininen Look eine lässige Leichtigkeit verleihen. Aber auch lässige androgyne Styles funktionieren perfekt mit dem derben Schuh: Ein Denim Oberteil mit einer Radlerhose, kombiniert mit Chunky Gummistiefeln, geben dem Look einen lässigen und selbstbewussten Touch.
Mode lebt von ihrer Vergangenheit, dem stetigen Drang nach Veränderung und der menschlichen Neugier. Ihr müsst eure alten Klamotten und Schuhe also nicht direkt entsorgen, sobald sie nicht mehr in und beliebt sind. Meist dauert es nicht lange, bis sich der einmalige Trend wiederbelebt 💗.

Forgotten trends often celebrate nostalgic comebacks over the years. What is touted to us as a new arrival, is usually already many generations old. That’s what makes the cycle of fashion. Today I will show you which boots will continue to be trendy in winter 2021.
But first: How do trends actually develop?
There are two ways in which trends are created. In the trickle-down effect, a look or a particular garment is created by exclusive fashion houses and then copied by popular clothing chains. In a nutshell: the fashion of the top societies trickles down to the lower social classes. Typical examples are Michael Kors bags and Balenciaga sneakers. The concept of luxury attracts in both cases. It is not only the high price that distinguishes the designer pieces. First and foremost, it is the promised exclusivity, a certain style, and status that influences our purchase decision. The bubble-up effect works the other way around: influential fashion chains take their cues from styles of youth and subcultures. Nowadays you can see this, for example, in the orientation to the skater scene. One person starts and everyone follows. Streetwear suddenly becomes a million-dollar business. It’s a well-known economic game that gives brands their global fame.
Boot trend No.1: Ankle Boots
The ankle boot is a boot that covers the entire foot and reaches the ankle. In 1804, the ankle boot was introduced for women’s fashion and is still popular today for its comfort and practicality. Hardly any ankle boot comes in so many different variations as the ankle boot. With or without a heel, with a zipper or to tie, with a pointed or round toe – the ankle-high boot is an absolute must-have in every version. Why? Because they emphasize the narrowest part of the leg and thus flatter any figure. If you like it elegant, you should wear models with heels in combination with skirts or dresses. But they also look great in tight pants and tights.
Boot trend No.2: Riding boots
One shoe, in particular, stands out as a surprising comeback trend: the riding boot. Specially adapted to the requirements of riding, the boot is known for its continuous sole, heel, and shaft that extends below the knee. Its tall shape and the stiffening of the boot were originally intended to promote a more stable position of the lower leg on the horse and make the leg appear longer. Its timeless elegance due to the smooth leather in black has given it an indispensable position in the wardrobe to this day. Riding boots go particularly well with narrow pants in dark washes, which disappear into the shaft of the boots. Trendy looks are shown in combination with camel coats and wool coats – best with a bare leg if the temperatures allow it.
Boot Trend No.3: Combat Boots
Another favorite that will accompany us even this year is the Combat Boot. As the name suggests, the Combat Boots are based on the design of leather boots worn by soldiers. The modern combat boots are designed to provide ankle stability and foot protection suitable for a harsh environment during combat training. Traditionally made from hardened leather, the chunky lace-up boots now come with flat as well as thick soles. Whether from Prada, Chichi or Dr. Martens – all models of the Combat Boot create a cool style break with feminine pieces, such as pleated skirts or midi dresses. But also as a styling partner to jeans they provide a casual look. Here, however, the overall look should not look too harsh: The rocking leather jacket can happily stay in the closet for this look, a cute teddy coat is the better choice in combination with the Combat Boot.
Boot trend No.4: Chunky rubber boots
Rough shoes with strikingly large soles are our fashion focus. The newest member is the Chunky rubber boot, also known as the Chunky Rain Boot. The practical Rain Boots are the it-piece this winter and have been on my wish list for a long time. Chunky Rainboots had been invented by the indigenous people of South America by dipping fabric shoes in the sap of the rubber tree to make them waterproof and more durable. Until the current century, shoes made of rubber had a bad reputation, merely utilitarian. The rethinking started especially with Prada, Bottega Veneta, The Row, Alexander McQueen, Chanel and last but not least with the influencers and fashion professionals who present us the all-rounder on social media. Especially now that Corona is bringing back the time for strolls in the nature, these shoes will keep us dry through any foul weather. Similar to Combat Boots, the chunky boots combine especially well with short skirts or dresses, as they add a casual lightness to the feminine look. But also casual androgynous styles work perfectly with the coarse shoe: a denim top with bike shorts, combined with chunky rubber boots, gives the look a casual and confident touch.
Fashion lives from its past, the constant urge to change and human curiosity. So you don’t have to get rid of your old clothes and shoes as soon as they are no longer in and popular. Usually it does not take long until the unique trend revives 💗.
